Objective
To close out the 2021 fiscal year, New Profit approached us to design print and web-based forms of their annual report.
Goals
As New Profit continues to grow and develop as an organization, the annual report needed to provide a deeper understanding of what New Profit does, and how their models help social entrepreneurs facilitate real, lasting, systemic change.
Brand Direction
The theme, “Get Closer,” showcases people and their stories to bring us closer to the key issues communities face. Saturated colors and angled, layered paper elements represent New Profit’s enthusiastic, yet careful approach in peeling back the layers of complex issues to reveal solutions.

Design Process
Art director Veronika Licakova developed the visual identity for the 2021 annual report while I took on the UX/UI design role and conducted quality assurance. The printed brochure and website would be released at the same time, so working in tandem with the print designer ensured consistency across both digital and print mediums.
Since this project had a quick turnaround time of four weeks and copy was already available, I began with high-fidelity wireframes to demonstrate the copy in situ. I created a module and component library based on the visual identity for the printed brochure and worked with our development partners to test for responsiveness, usability, and track bugs before launch.

Some wireframes.
Deliverables
The final microsite was a responsive, single-page microsite with tabbed interactions and overlays for an immersive experience.
